About me
I am an enthusiastic, ambitious and hard working designer, who has recently
been unfortunately made redundant from the Bristol Evening Post/
Western Daily Press, as a Team Leader Graphic Designer in their Ad
Creation Department for over 8 years.
As my title suggests, I was a Team Leader for a small section of Ad
Creation, looking after the staff's work load, queries and
general office day to day situations.
I have used various printing related software including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop on both PC and Mac.
Apart from my main role as Artworker for all papers, magazines and
bespoke projects, I also processed/troubleshoot imported ISDNs and all
other files types. I am fully aware of the process of Pre-press.
Past large design projects were designing Wallcharts/Fixtures for
Bristol City and Rovers and yearly Equestrian Wall Planners for our
Equine supplement. I also was behind our quarterly
Motors supplements, where I liaised with Editorial,
Studio and external printers in layout of text, pages and
artwork.
Outside of the Evening Post I have done Freelance work such as brochure
work, programmes for football tournaments and flyers as well as
celebrational invites.
At present, I am studying at home, Dreamweaver and Flash, looking to
achieve an Adobe certified and recognised award.
