Hugh's work

I am a versatile freelance writer and communications specialist with a rich and varied career spanning more than 15 years. I have freelanced between jobs for several years, but decided to go full steam ahead as a committed freelancer in March 2015. Since then I have worked for a number of reputable UK-based and international organisations, including Forum for the Future, OVO Energy, National Grid and Natural Capital Partners. Previously, I was a communications advisor for a global sustainability non-profit, and before that was the media lead for The Coldest Journey expedition led by Sir Ranulph Fiennes. I have worked as a senior reporter for the UK's largest morning regional newspaper and was an award-winning environmental correspondent for its sister paper. I am also the founder of a successful business selling eco-friendly products and have authored two editions of a self-help book on sustainable living. I live in London with my wife and young daughter.
