To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to apply for the role of Midweight Art Director as advertised within your company. I am currently working for a trade publishing house and have an active role in the running and organising of the seasonal photoshoots for the various publications. This has led me to believe that I would be the ideal candidate for the role you are offering.

Within my role at RAS Publishing/ITE Moda, I am responsible for organising the seasonal photoshoots, including trend research, theme briefs, sourcing props, model hire, hair and make-up hire, working with the stylists and photographers, overseeing the costs for each shoot and ensuring all products are correctly represented; this has driven me to become organised, whilst requiring multi-tasking in my day-to-day activities.

With a design background, I am able to use my creative skills when planning each shoot and am used to working in a pressured environment within the publishing house. As each publication is fashion based I have been working in the industry for 2 years and have a keen interest in trends, fashion and product placement. Having already co-ordinated and managed several shoots, I have extensive experience in briefing the photographer, model, hair and make up and stylist and I have a full understanding of the skills and standards required to produce professional shots, and have maintained these standards throughout my published work. Alongside editorial experience I have worked on a number of exhibition campaign shots and product led images. This has compelled me to be confident and assertive with my ideas whilst upholding good communication to draw out the best in those around me.

As a friendly team member I am confident in working independently and I am eager to further my career and become part of a successful organisation. I believe I will become a dedicated and valid member of your company and offer new and creative knowledge to the role of Midweight Art Director.
