About me

I'm a Journalism and Communications MA graduate, and also completed an undergrad in English. Currently I live in London, and I am working as a freelance journalist, writing various copy for several publications, both in print and online, while adhering to a strict deadline. See */, and *.

I also run my own part-time business, Dolly and Rhonda, which I founded after seeing a gap in the Vintage grooming market, and film hair tutorial videos for Videojug, *

I have previously worked with a weekly paper, The Irish World. We were a small team here, so I'm no stranger to writing large articles and features under pressure, and transforming heavy information into digestible, and engaging copy. As I was News Editor with the paper, I have an eye for detail, and mistakes, as I also had the task of proofing my colleagues' work before it went to print. I am very thorough with research, and enjoy seeing a concept through from an idea, to a published piece of work.

Aside from writing, I have also spent a period of time in the classroom as a teacher, so my organizational skills are sharp, and I'm used to working as part of a team.

I'm a people person, and have a great proactive and resourceful mindset. As well as this, setting up my own part-time business has encouraged me to be more creative, driven and conscientious, and develop a greater understanding of social media trends.

I'm enthusiastic, diligent and resourceful, and would jump at the chance to travel within any role.
