About me
Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated with television, film and the media, this fascination has only grown and developed in time working on projects such as an independent feature film that I co wrote and starred in and the itv inspire course I attended.
My interest spans from acting, in which I have worked both on screen and on stage, to writing and directing which I have little professional experience in but I am very keen to learn and grow in these areas. I have been a part of many productions including playing Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors which has strengthened my confidence. Being a part of an independent film broadened my knowledge of this subject as I worked on not only the writing but the editing and the lighting and sound. This experience not only broadened my knowledge but solidified my want and need to work in this industry.
In my spare time I love to use Adobe Premiere Pro, becoming more confident by editing footage from trips I have taken to become projects I am very proud of. I also love writing and am constantly working on new ideas for scripts and short stories. In the near future I would love to combine these interests and work on a short film that I will write, edit and direct. I love expanding my knowledge by working and practising my hobbies and interests as I find I learn better this way.
Outside of television and the media I have worked as a barmaid and I have also worked in an array of office based jobs. Both of these industries have taught me a lot about organisation, responsibility and confidence, working as a lone worker and in a team. I have always stepped into work with a positive attitude and as all of my past employments have been public facing this has been a necessity.
I have recently moved back to Leeds from London in which I lived for four months. I am hoping to split my time between the two by working freelance work until finding a permanent role is the media/television and film industry.
