About me

Henry Butcher lives and works in London as a freelance director, animator and filmmaker. His work tends to revolve around the traditional and experimental, mixing techniques such as stop motion, pixilation, live action (digital, Super 8mm, 16mm) and cell animation.

He has had his latest animated film 'Acoustic Memory' screened numerous times, both in London and abroad and is currently in pre-production for his new film 'Jonathan's story' (working title). He tends to work on films either in small teams or completely by himself, which means he has excellent working knowledge of all stages of filmmaking, from pre-production through to post-production.

As well has having a degree in Animation (London College of Communication), he also has a degree in Sociology (Cardiff University) and a Diploma in Graphic Design (London College of Communication).
