About me
I am a graduate of the University of Aberdeen. After the birth of my daughter and graduating from covid, I played it safe by pursuing a career in finance. Despite excelling through my exams and becoming an essential team member, I feel like something is missing in my career. I found out that I prioritise a passion for the work over the potential financial yield. Therefore I am hoping to enter a career in camera work. Growing up in a house with both parents being artists, there has always been a yearning to pursue creative projects. At university, I was a key member of the Nature photography society, where we would travel around the highlands to get shots of wildlife. I loved the adventure and the crescendo of emotions when securing a well-earned shot. Furthermore, during the rector campaign, I took a position as a consultant on a student-led campaign. This required shooting politically motivated ads around campus to promote the candidate. I am also someone who prides himself on innovation, receiving an award from Scottish innovative students in my final year for my work on eco-projects on campus. Finally, and most importantly I love adventure, no task is too big. In 2017 I executed a solo bike tour of the silk road. These skills, as a student, and a real passion for the industry would make me a perfect candidate for any role as a camera operator.
