Henry's work
About Henry
I have always been passionate about writing and since graduating from Loughborough University, with a 2.1 in History and Politics, I have worked hard to obtain a number of relevant placements to help me pursue my ideal career- writing professionally.
My most recent role, working as a copywriter for The Watch Gallery, has provided me with an invaluable experience writing copy of varying lengths. Ranging from the online magazine, to brand descriptions, emails and product descriptions as well as learning the basics of html, Photoshop and becoming au fait with a number of content management systems the role has been both challenging and eclectic.
Prior to The Watch Gallery I've worked on a diverse range of projects, covering a variety of subjects from: music, fashion, food, technology, sport, events, lifestyle, and travel among others. Whilst also being fortunate enough to have been published across a range of mediums including blogs, press releases and academic papers. This background has left me equipped with the knowledge and skills to innovatively approach any job I am faced with. I revel in the diversity of the projects I produce and that is what attracts me to this role; the opportunity to work on an array of tasks on a daily basis.
Alongside my current role I have also worked pro bono for the charity QUIT since 2008. The assistance I provide ranges from writing copy for the website, crafting press releases and consulting on social media to attending fundraising events. Responsibilities I have gradually accumulated due to the success of my previous work for the charity. In regard to progression, as my contract with The Watch Gallery nears completion, I am looking for a new, challenging position which utilises my creative and writing skills.
Thank you for your consideration,
