About me

I am writing to apply for the job position mentioned above and as requested, attach a copy of my Curriculum Vitae. In this letter I hope to explain more about my suitability for this position and to provide further background information.

I am extremely interested in developing a career as a web designer, creating databases or programmer and would like to work for your company as you have a large and varied portfolio and an excellent reputation. I have been working as a Graphic Designer for over 3 years so therefore have great industrial experience.

In addition, my degree course in Computer Science at The Nottingham Trent University includes programming, databases, networks and web design. Of particular relevance to this post includes knowledge of:

• Excellent knowledge in Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator

• Excellent knowledge within Microsoft Office package

• Java, HTML and a range of other programming / scripting languages.

• Basic knowledge in Flash

• Introduction to MySQL and PHP.

• Basic knowledge of UNIX

Last year I completed a BTech National Diploma Course for Adobe Level 2 in Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash and achieved Distinction level.

On a personal level I would regard myself as a hardworking, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is well organised and able to meet deadlines. I have thrived in situations where I have worked as part of a team but also where I have been given a degree of independence.

You may be wondering why there are 2 residential addresses on my CV, this is because I am getting married in July and will be moving to Coventry. At present I live in Wellingborough, and commuting is not a problem.
