About me

Hello,

I'm emailing to apply for the Junior Design Position (Job ref: BSMEH9121). I am a recent graduate from Shillington Graphics College London and have 2 years previous experience working for the Royal Shakespeare company as a Design Assistant. I am now on the hunt for work, in graphics (as opposed to theatre) and would love this opportunity to develop my design skills further.

A little bit about me:

I previously worked as a Theatre Design Assistant for the Royal Shakespeare Company, carrying out initial research, designing and developing concepts, creating the artwork for models/set (using Ps and Ai), model making and CAD technical drawing. My job at the RSC was fast paced and required that I worked to strict deadlines; I communicated with all departments, often working alongside others on a wide variety of projects/productions to oversee their completion from start to finish.

I have now re-trained in Graphic design (I decided on a career change!) and am proficient using the Adobe creative suite for typography, branding, advertising, publishing, packaging design, web design, illustration and info-graphics. I feel that I have many skills to offer (I'm always keen to learn more) and would love this opportunity to pursue a career in graphic design!

I am very hardworking, a good communicator, and enjoy working alongside others to create and explore ideas. I am good at working under pressure and I always rise to a challenge...

I love anything to do with design and art and have always enjoyed exploring different ways to create original, thought-provoking and aesthetically exciting work in a variety of mediums.
