About me

Fifty brave souls gathered beneath an underpass in Swindon. They were there to meet a man who was trying to turn every book blank. Together with the thousands of online players around the world, they saved literature! Coney won a NIBBIE for our on and off line game to launch Jasper Fforde's First Amongst Sequels. It's just one of the many projects I work on as a lead creative, story developer and manager for Coney - at the moment I'm working on a Henry Moore project with the Tate. If a sculpture starts speaking to you, it's probably my fault...

Fun as the work for Coney is, it's only one of the strands that goes into my passion for helping brands communicate with their customers and audience. With a background in marketing, I straddle the traditional marketing/creative divide, working on the strategic issues behind the brand and measuring my success by results from response rate to profitability. Whatever the idiosyncrasies of a particular market, the skills of strategic understanding and creative flair are the same and can be applied anywhere. Good writing is good writing. That's why my CV and client list are eclectic: financial websites, new range concepts for The Sanctuary, book blurbs, in-store radio, a weekly column for the Daily Mail... I tend to be brought in by companies at times of big change: the launch of Jemma Kidd Make Up, the relaunch of Botanics, expansion of The Folio Society. And I find that, once there, they want me to stay.

Ask any of my clients and they'd describe enthusiasm, energy and intelligence as my salient characteristics. To feed them I like to be always learning, always developing - and a job that encourages that is the one I'm looking for.
