About Helen
My work combines original artwork with digital design techniques to create distinctive prints, seamless repeats and coordinated collections for fashion, interiors and lifestyle applications. I work primarily with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, developing designs from initial artwork and concepts through to production-ready repeat patterns and colourways.
My experience within the carpet industry, including Trafford Carpets and CV Carpets, gave me an early understanding of designing for commercial products and manufacturing. I have since continued to develop my own creative practice, building a growing portfolio of textile and surface designs and exploring opportunities for licensing and collaboration.
My style is particularly influenced by botanicals, nature, colour and painterly texture, with an emphasis on creating commercially versatile designs that retain the character of the original artwork.
I'm not currently seeking employment, but I'm always interested in connecting with people and businesses within textiles, interiors, fashion and surface design, and in hearing about interesting licensing, collaboration and creative opportunities.
