About me
Objective
I am a Master of Arts Graduate in English Literature: Poetic Practice. I have a love of art and literature and I enjoy any task to combine the two in innovative ways. I am inventive and particularly enjoy working and writing creatively in relation to conceptual debates and ideas. Complimentarily to these passions, I am a strong analytical writer with a keen interest in research and many literary theories. I am a hard-working and contentious team member.
Summary
My Masters was a research based course. I developed a portfolio of handmade book-works and a website holding digital poems. An intrigue with children's literature joined with a variety of poetic and literary concepts runs throughout many of these pieces. Each work is accompanied by a contextualizing, analytical methodology. I have knowledge of Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver, my creative uses of which can be seen on my website: *: Fairy Tale Poetics: Some Explorations in Form. My research here focused on procedural poetry and I designed and made a book-work whose structure uniquely related to its poetic text and method of production. I attended the London Small Press Publishers Book Fair in 2007 and 2008. I successfully sold my own book-works on both occasions. Throughout my three year BA I studied a range of topics which broadened and developed my interests and skills.
