About me

Dear Sir/Madam

Becoming a Junior Project Manager would be an exciting development for me but a familiar one being solely responsible on a daily basis to manage orders through delegation, contacting suppliers and assessing progress whilst expanding our customer database and achieving expected sales targets. Currently working in a Sales and Administration role for a luxury needlepoint company in Knightsbridge; where I am solely responsible for product branding, marketing and monitoring the critical path of orders I am confident at liaising with suppliers and ensuring the expected quality result is achieved for our clients.

Most recently I have been heavily involved with designing a new website, collaborating with the graphic designers to achieve a functional yet aesthetically pleasing site to introduce the use of e-commerce to the business. Being able to juggle these rolls and provide top customer service on a daily basis highlights my motivation to succeed at any task. I thoroughly enjoyed this leadership role and working for such as small brand has allowed me to take the responsibility of may roles within the company but am now seeking the opportunity to join a larger company where I can inspire and learn in a larger team environment.

Previously, I worked for an Events Management company, where I was responsible for purchasing and logistics, ensuring delivery and deadlines were met, carefully monitoring the critical path and proofreading proposals. From these roles I have demonstrated strict co-ordination, effective communication and focus on detail, ensuring the success of any task no matter how small. I truly believe there are two types of people in the workplace; those who can talk about problems and those who can solve them. I am the latter.

Having always been a creative soul, for example dedicating 5 years to learning the flute and piano and near enough my whole lifetime to equestrian sports, I know what it takes to succeed and it is only my strengths and weakness together that allow me to succeed. With a keen eye for commercial awareness I keep a regular blog and continue to collect unusual jewellery pieces and vintage garments for inspiration.

With my strong numerical and analytical skills, and the added benefit of my creative degree I believe this would allow me to face any challenge I may be faced with, in this role. I would be thrilled to be part of a fun, hardworking team for a larger, and highly successful brand where I have always seen myself.

I will look forward to discussing my skills and experiences with you further.

Sincerely

Helen Gilchrist
