About me

I am passionate about graphic design and strongly believe that visual communication can and should improve the way we live. I have over five years experience in the industry, having worked in both agency and in-house positions, mostly with a focus on print design. I'm currently seeking freelance opportunities and looking forward to the variety of challenges these may bring.

Skills

I'm a good all-round graphic designer, equally as happy working on creative concepts and sketches as I am on spending time on the details of typography. I have a strong understanding of every step of the design process, from initial client briefing through to preparing artwork for print. I'm confident communicating directly with clients and liaising with suppliers. I mainly work in print but am happy to create designs for the web and have a basic knowledge of html. I use photoshop, illustrator and indesign on a daily basis, and can also find my way around quark and flash.

Sector Experience

Spirit Design (Jan 2009 - Oct 2010), I worked on a variety of projects for many different clients event documentation for corporate hospitality providers, logos for superyachts, a website for an accountancy firm, an identity for a confectioner, book design for a publisher Most importantly, I got to work directly with my clients, frequently liaise with suppliers, and effectively learned how to see an entire project through from start to completion., PartyGaming (Apr - Dec 2008), Projects ranged from creating identities for new brands such as PartyPokers VIP club, to designing and producing flash banners to promote games and developing campaigns for print., Space Works/3Sphere (Oct 2003 - Mar 2007), As in-house graphic designer at this office interior design company, I was tasked with designing and managing a new identity. Other tasks included design of job-specific presentations for new pitches and schemes, signage and artwork for office spaces and creating visuals of proposed schemes.
