University of Huddersfield Business With Design

Modules taken include:

-Creative Process in Context

-Design & Market Knowledge

-Modernism & Material Culture

-Introduction to Print Media & Advertising Production

During my first year I had to partake in various activities such as assessed group work and presentations. I also have experience in using specialised computer software, Adobe Creative Suite in particular InDesign. We had to use general Windows programs for our work so we gained confidence in using PowerPoint and Excel.

-I also have a particular interest in art and am working towards gaining a broader perspective about all types whether it be painting, sculpture or mixed media pieces.

-Fashion and the fashion industry has always interested me and I believe it is an art form in itself.

-Business in general is particularly interesting to me, I enjoy studying the way businesses are set-up, how they achieve continuous success and how they interact with each other.

PLACEMENT OBJECTIVES

My career objectives are to combine all aspects of my course currently being studied in University. I hope to enter into the Creative Industries as someone who can offer relevant creative input and contribute to the business decision-making process.

I have gained many skills from my experience both work and academic. I really learned the importance of working as a team and feel it has helped me gain more confidence in my competencies in the workplace.
