About me
To Whom It May Concern,
I write to apply for the position of Account Manger/Project Manager.
I believe my keen interest in the media and career experience managing accounts for a media broadcaster and a digital and experiential focused advertising agency, of which I have outlined below, stands me in good stead for this role.
I have recently finished up as an Account Manager with SBS, a television station in Australia. I managed key accounts and built and developed strong relationships with agencies as well as direct clients. Most of my work there involved dealing directly with media buying agencies and responding to briefs with competitive proposals for both online and TV advertising. I managed each campaign to ensure proposed TARPS were delivered, and offered attractive incentives in the form of bonus or no charge spots, to ensure sharp CPMs. We worked to ensure that clients always considered digital when using SBS and managed these accounts to make sure that they reaped the benefits of using online advertising.
Prior to that, I was the Account Manager for Fnuky Advertising. My role was to liaise between the client and agency to ensure that all the client expectations were met. I wrote proposals and briefs, and managed the creative and digital departments in the agency, making sure that budgets were managed effectively throughout.
Fnuky started out as a digital agency, and for that reason a great majority of the accounts I worked on were websites. I was able to pick up digital 'tech talk' quickly and maneuver myself around the backend of websites with the ability to populate and update and edit them. As well as managing all aspects of the front-end design and liaising with the developers along the way, I presented the various progressive stages of the website to the clients along the way, and trained clients to use WordPress.
I also acted as the project manager for various campaigns where I was actively involved in all facets of the campaign. Of these, my most significant role was Project Manager for a national anti-litter campaign for Keep Australia Beautiful called 'The LITTLE Committee'. The campaign generated 5 million media impressions and was awarded a Gold CLIO Award this year.
Other duties as Account Manager entailed copywriting for campaigns and pitch documents, assisting in the implementation of campaigns, media monitoring and social media monitoring on a daily basis, maintaining good client relationships, and other tasks to support the Strategy Director.
Prior to that, I also worked as a Producer with FIVEaa in a casual capacity. My role was to organise the content for the show and line up interviews for the segments before the show was due to start. Other duties entailed managing the on-air callers and assisting the presenter to make sure the show ran smoothly.
I would love to meet with you to further discuss the opportunity and can be contacted on the details listed in my CV.
Kind regards,
Heather Kitchener
