About me

Since 2003 I've helped lead creative production house TonyG from its origins as a one-stop problem-solving shop to a substantial small business. We have a unique specialism with a growing market where physical meets digital: crafted manufacture and graphic support with new technologies alongside.

Culture is hugely important to me and to us. It fascinates me how difficult it is to describe the way a workplace feels yet we all just know our own culture. At TonyG we'e a mix of friendship and expertise in a parcelled up sort of family atmosphere. There's a lot of laughter, a lot of music, and a team of the most tenacious creative thinkers and doers that I've ever met.

Personally, I'm learning how to capitalise on my character in this new world of pivoting and reframing. Success for me is measured by the value I can bring to any conversation that results in positive change, whatever the environment: business, retail, cultural, or social enterprise.

I thrive on making connections and bringing people and ideas together. A questioning mindset and wheelbarrows full of integrity mean I can be a reliable contributor of original thoughts to brainstorms. I pick up on desired objectives quickly and present ideas pragmatically in the right form for the task. Verbal, written, conceptual and of course visual - I wear my 'Queen of Mood Boards' crown with pride.

I'm fascinated by innovation and love to speculate on the future, and my forecasts on everything from style to behaviour to technology lean towards utopian with a black comedic twist! I dream in Black Mirror scripts...

I've recently become a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, which feels like an achievement for someone who prior to that had one of their typing certificates as a highest qualification. I also support Little Garden Flowers, a sustainable floristry company resident in TonyG's first business home, The Barn. On quiet days I get to hand-write the bouquet cards, one of the most relaxing creative outputs I could think of.

And I love a good conversation. Write and say hello.
