About me

I am writing in response to the advertisement on creativepool.co.uk to join the digital creative team at The Book. I am currently a Copywriter for online news and content provider DirectNews, a division of Adfero. I have included my CV for your consideration.

I have worked for Adfero for over four years, progressing from a news reporter to copywriter. In this role, I produce tailored online content including news stories, landing pages, features and blogs for PPC, SEO and social media campaigns. I have also written for a range of clients over the years, including healthcare providers, pharmaceutical firms, financial services providers, recruitment consultants, retailers and charities. As well as writing content, I regularly use keyword analysis and link building tactics and have witnessed the clients I write for rising in search engine rankings as a result of my efforts.

In addition to Adfero, I work part-time as a PR writer for the marketing department of software company Alfresco, producing and subbing press releases and client communications. I am a keen blogger, writing one of my own as well as contributing to others. In my spare time, I also write my own short films and have produced and directed music videos through Into Productions, as well as writing the company's blog.

Since graduating with a Masters in Magazine Journalism and embarking on my career in 2006, I have been lucky enough to work in many different areas of the journalism, publishing and marketing industries. I began writing professionally just as the role of digital content was becoming more important in terms of brand recognition and revenue and I participate in regular training on how this field continues to evolve. I have five NCTJ qualifications including Subbing, Newspaper and Magazine Journalism and I regularly use web publishing and analytics tools.

This would be an amazing opportunity for me that I know would bring with it many new and exciting challenges and allow me to progress in my career.
