ABOUT

International Reports (Auslandsinformationen)
Cover Design

The cover design for International Reports magazine (Auslandsinformationen) was developed for an issue dedicated to the topic of corruption. International Reports (IR) is the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s periodical on international politics, offering political analysis by experts based in Berlin and across more than 100 offices worldwide.
The design approaches corruption not as an event, but as a condition - subtle, systemic, and deeply embedded within global structures. Rather than illustrating corruption directly, the concept explores its invisible presence through abstraction and symbol. A generalized paper banknote becomes the central motif, familiar yet altered, suggesting value as something constructed, manipulated, and quietly destabilized.
The image operates between recognition and ambiguity, inviting reflection rather than delivering a fixed interpretation.
