About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am studying for a degree in Product Design and Innovation at the University of Portsmouth, and would like to gain experience working in product design and concept realisation. I have a great awareness in the notion of sustainable design and hope to bring a different perspective to any team. I have a more technical education background but thoroughly enjoy the creative design industry and cannot wait to get involved.

I am particularly keen to work within a business that has involvement with packaging design and the ability to work with a variety of concepts. I have a broad background of design education with specialised techniques including various illustrative and CAD work. I work very well to deadlines and enjoy showing all stages of my development which I feel are essential for working in design. Through part time employment within sales teams, I have gained understanding in finding product knowledge and problem solving.

As I stated in my CV, I also studied Mathematics and Physics as A levels alongside Product Design and have always taken an interest in engineering but mainly found the artistic freedom of product designing and modelling more enjoyable. I feel that this background influences me to differ from people's misconception of product design being form over function.
