About me
My designs are created through a range of materials from ceramics to textiles. I find it exciting to work with different materials that add variation to my skill set. I want my work to push boundaries and test materials to the limits, I have recently experimented with the fragility of porcelain, much of my design practice relies on material experimentation, to inspire and improve projects. My design process is inspired by human behaviour and current social and practical issues, I believe design is the most exciting and appropriate way to engage with society. In turn, my work reflects and responds to different problems and creates engaging experiences. My work responds to social and practical issues, this is achieved through prototyping and early sketches. And by experimenting with materials and processes, I am able to enjoy finding a balance between industry and craft alongside rapid advances in technology and explore the ways that we communicate through various design practices.
