About me

Design is a huge passion of mine and it heavily influences my life. I enjoy minimalist, contemporary work and more specifically that by Kate Moross, Rob Ryan for their use of colour and space.
I take great pleasure from design and my enthusiasm is not limited to a single aspect, I am intrigued by illustration, magazine and book design as well as furniture and pattern design. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and how that can affect my interpretation of design. I particularly enjoy work reflecting Parisian culture, with classic French posters a particular interest of mine due to their bold colours and simple structure, such as the famous Tournée du Chat Noir poster.
I am a keen illustrator, both computer aided and handed rendered, creating my own greetings cards for friends and family as well as other handcrafted items. I like to be experimental in my design and illustration and attempt to push boundaries with my creativity, drawing inspiration from many aspects of life. My music taste is on a very broad spectrum.
As for my other interests, I really enjoy food, especially creating new recipes for social situations. I also like collecting quirky things that reflect my personality, particularly anything kitsch. I stockpile packaging and magazine designs that inspire me, in an attempt keep my own ideas fresh and progress the way I view design.
