About me

Currently I'm a freelance creative artworker living in Brighton. My clients include Virgin Holidays, Ilex Press, Hodder & Stoughton and Routledge.

As you would imagine working for clients such as Virgin, my standard of work is top-notch and the volume produced at pace that wouldn't be for the feint hearted!

My career began in marketing, succeeding this I trained in Design, expanding my remit from marketing related work (proof reading, author queries, and conference organising), to include the design of catalogues, brochures, flyers, and book covers.

I am highly skilled in InDesign, Quark, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat, with it being common practice to upload my work to the web.

I am well versed in managing several projects at one time, designing from scratch and working to templates. My strengths also include a great attention to detail, and putting out high pagination pieces to a tight deadline.

Primarily a print designer, with print buying experience, I have completed training in web-design and can prepare images for the web and design banners & buttons.

Worked within a team of a eight designers collaborating with twenty marketers, producing a full range of global marketing material., Output includes; postcards, flyers, catalogues, e-brochures, web banners., Taking artwork from intial brief through to delivery., Worked closely with editorial and marketing teams, well practiced in reading proof marks, with a keen eye for detail., Regularly use and devise templates, ensure artwork adheres to house style., Experience of pre-press protocol; briefing printers and other suppliers, gathering quotes and working to budget., Worked as a designer within academic publishing for over ten years, together with having freelance studio experience.
