About Hannah
My name is Hannah Ormsby and I am a recent graduate from Bournemouth University, graduating in June with a 2.1 in Interactive Media Production.
I am an extremely passionate designer, living and breathing the latest trends and pieces of work that appeal and inspire me. I am a highly creative person with lots of new ideas and could work in both creative and technical fields. Through the three years at University I have molded my creative skills alongside my web skills learning how to illustrate and design to a high standard. I am looking for a job where I will be challenged and where I can learn from professionals and develop my skills.
I am extremely confident with the Adobe CS4 suit and would ideally like to design for Print, Web, Online and Offline projects. My other skills include Flash, Actionscript 3, HTML and CSS, as you can see by some of the work featured in my portfolio: *, an interactive flash exploration environment: *.
My previous experience consists of a 6 week internship where I worked for digital creative agency Collective in London. Here I learned so much about designing and put my skills into constant practice on numerous projects. I noticed just how quickly I was learning and loved working in a creative environment. I practiced how to brainstorm and think creatively outside the box, and learned about designing brand identity. They were really positive of my performance and I had a great time getting involved.
I then transferred the skills I learned into practice and proved myself as a designer by taking on the role of creative director on our graduation show committee, receiving a letter of commendation for my role and efforts. This opportunity was a great experience as I created the branding and print work, designing the logo, posters, brochure and t shirts. This also confirmed my organisational skills as I also acted as project manager and got involved with fund raising and interior design. I am enthusiastic, a fast learner, hard working, can meet deadlines, friendly, and good with people :)
Since graduating University I have been working as a freelance designer which has been exciting, designing web layouts, logos and iphone applications. You can see a recent site I designed with the company Thought Den, here: *: *.
