About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Hannah, and I am passionate about art and design. This interest is often combined with my love of travel, getting to experience different cultures and their imagery. I do have a tendency to get excited about these things, especially when you come across an idea that you had not considered before. Design can be enchanting in that way. I am also an avid reader of Terry Pratchett; imaginative scenes and colourful characters. Every corner of life can be enhanced by little moments of wonder.

In this last year I have completed an MA in Graphic Design and Typography at Anglia Ruskin University. I feel that this has expanded my knowledge and appreciation of design in ways my BA could not. Whilst the BA allows you to learn the fundamentals and explore style, completing the MA has refocused me as a designer. I now know my own style, process, and methods, but am still interested in expanding this. Alongside my MA, and freelance work, I have also completed a one year internship at the SEO agency Red Alien. Amidst the SEO databasing, website editing, social media, and blog writing, I have completely rebranded the agency across both digital and print. Another achievement I am especially proud of is selling one of my MA projects to its intended user; Marshall ADG. This collaboration has also lead to further commissions from the company.

I want to experience the camaraderie of working with like-minded people, and the pleasure of contributing good work, whether individually or as a team.I thoroughly enjoy book design, and honing my typography skills. I am fascinated by the changing evolution of the book across both print and digital, and the ways in which these two platforms can coexist.
