About me

I am a London-based illustrator who originally comes from Japan. I draw upon a broad range of interests in my work, such as nature, the animal kingdom, Psychology, fantasy and my native culture. I also use a variety of media, working digitally, with textiles, and traditional painting materials.

I had my first solo exhibition in Munster, Germany in 2009 which was received with positive acclaim. In the same year my work was short-listed for the Cheltenham Illustration Awards. In May 2010, one of my piece called 'Deja Vu' won the 3rd prize at Japan Society Members' Art Exhibition.

I have experience working with web design teams and can offer a range of work both for the web and print. I am actively seeking children's illustration and editorial work but am also happy working business projects.
