About me
I am the Director of Operations (Finance and Administration) at Energy and Security Group (ESG), a leading provider of technical and management solutions for energy and security challenges in complex environments. I have over 14 years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and operations, working with various organizations and projects in Pakistan, especially in the energy sector. I am a certified accounting technician and a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body for professional accountants.
In my current role, I oversee the financial and operational aspects of the USAID Power Sector Improvement Activity (PSIA) in Pakistan, a project that aims to improve the performance and governance of the power sector and increase the share of clean energy. I am responsible for ensuring compliance with USAID rules and regulations, managing budgets and cash flows, preparing financial reports and audits, and supervising the finance and operations team. I have skills in managerial finance, financial accounting, management accounting, IFRS, IAS, statutory audits, internal audits, special audits, agreed-upon procedures, accounting assignments, interim reviews, and fixed assets reconciliation. I also have experience in grants management, corporate and tax laws, financial reporting, and non-profit administration.
I enjoy working with diverse and talented teams and partners, and I strive to deliver high-quality and timely results that meet the expectations and needs of the clients and beneficiaries.
