I am writing to express my Interest in the post advertised.

Photography has been the most important factor of my life for many years and I feel that this is the perfect opportunity for me to display and enhance my skills on a higher level. Photography is not only about the relationship between an individual and the Camera that they use, it is the ability to see things.

Every day we are surrounded by images, but few notice the stories. I want to be able to help make people aware of the world and the events that take place in it, through images that will speak and leave a memory in their minds and even inspire people to take an interest in photography and the different forms that it comes in. Being able to help shape the past, modern times and the impending future, opening people's eyes to the world that they live in but not necessarily how they see it. The ability to do that is why this position appeals to me.

From a photography aspect, with the exception of gaining two Adobe Certified Associate qualifications and a certificate in Career Coaching in Photography, I am self-taught all the way through to editing pictures, which I have been able to test myself by entering various Photography competitions and being given the freedom to document certain events by current employers. As well I have had my work published on okayafrica , Olympus Magazine and I have been nominated for a C. Hub Magazine Creativity Award (Best Photographer) and there is always the opportunity for more.

The most vital component that we all share is the eye, which I firmly believe is the strongest asset that I have worked on and can be seen through my images and having the ability to see pictures beyond that of the common eye. That comes from learning, whether that being through practice or gaining inspiration from looking at the works of photographers that you look up to. Or from visiting exhibitions to seeing the works of hobbyists and Images shown on digital media sites / Blogs.

With that ability, it goes beyond your own work and seeing the work of others. There are images out there that you see and you wish you were responsible for. They are telling a story of a thought of had never crossed your mind or showcasing a story that you are familiar with but with a different perception. There are times when you see these images and the first thing you want to do is share them with everybody. That is how it is like for me, which is why I feel that I belong in the creative world.
