Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to apply for the copy writer position with made.com. Having managed the publishing/writing at Clear Path Analysis for nine months, followed by freelancing at Nursing Times and Pulse Today, I am keen to move on to a writer title - my current experience in the health and media sector makes me a suitable candidate for the role.
Being one of the only publishers on a small team, I am used to working extremely quickly while maintaining high levels of accuracy. I rarely feel stressed; my focus is on getting the job done with a relaxed and happy attitude while always keeping a smile on my face.
Single-handedly managing the production cycle and subbing more than 80 edit pages per month brings its challenges - the key one of which is crafting fresh, original stories and sells on a very limited subject matter. It's the aspect of my previous job I enjoy the most and feel I do consistently well.
I bring finesse to all of my work - grammatical exactness, ensuring exclusive reports are produced, happily liaising with industry contacts, providing regular content for online copy and lifting pages with sharp quotes - and this is something I would love to contribute to Made.com.
I have enjoyed working in the media sector over the last year, and would relish the opportunity to be involved with Made's exciting new opportunity.
