About me
Guilherme Jahara is the founder, partner and has been chief creative officer (CCO) of Dark Kitchen Creatives - an independent "boutique"agency in Brazil - since December 2020. With 26 years' experience, he started his career as an art director in Rio de Janeiro. In 2000 he moved to São Paulo to work at F/Nazca S&S, then worked at AlmapBBDO, DM9DDB Brasil and Leo Burnett before join Fbiz as its CCO in 2014. After 5 years transforming Fbiz to become one of the most desirables agencies in Brazil, he moved to SunsetDDB, an digital-led DDB's agency in Brazil, as its new Co-CEO & CCO.
Be it as a creative director or an art director, Jahara's resume stands out with awards in many diverse national and international festivals including: 43 Cannes Lions (including several Golds), Gold Pencils at the One Show and Yellow Pencils at the D&AD; Golds at the LIA Awards, Clio and Andy Awards, GPs at the Wave Festival, at El Ojo, Fiap, Brazilian Advertising Association and the NY Festivals, Prêmio Abril and many "Stars" in the Brazilian Creative Festival (CCSP).
During his career, Guilherme has been a member of important advertising juries such as Cannes, Clio, D&AD, CCSP, Wave, El Ojo, El Sol and Fiap. He's been on the director's board of The Brazilian Creative Club for the last 4 years, was a panelist at Cannes Lions 2014 and a speaker at several festivals and seminars, such as the Brazilian Creative Festival and Facebook.
He also won some professional awards such as Best Art Director 1999 at ABP, Best Creative Director at ABP in 2015 and the Creative Professional of the Year 2016 at Caboré Award, the most prestigious of its kind in Brazil.
He is also a lecturer/tutor of leadership classes at Miami AdSchool São Paulo and Cuca School of Creativity.
