ABOUT

This series of photographs portray people in Italy and abroad. My motivation in making these images is show a person completely immersed in their daily life, often rushing to or from some destination. I enjoy the brief encounter I have with my subjects and the adrenaline that results from our interactions.

To help me do this I prefer using a small prime lens for its discretion and sharpness. I often use a flash to help create a dynamic relationship between foreground and background and a slow shutter speed which is wonderful for translating the sense of movement and pace of the moment.
