About me

I am a print specialist creative artwork and designer with in-depth technical skills and many years experience. I am passionate about typography, obsessed with brand and fanatical about details.

Working primarily within the corporate sector for most of my career in print and repro, I have a thorough understanding of many print and production processes. Whether it's a text heavy report, poster, banner, presentation or exhibition stand, I am able to design, edit, preflight, impose and set artwork accurately whilst ensuring it is technically correct for the intended output medium.

I can project manage multiple projects concurrently, and take a brief through inception, design and production as well as employ a variety of skills and techniques to develop suitable visual solutions to the customers communication needs. Having spent much of my career within local government, I am well versed in producing detailed and accurate work to incredibly tight deadlines, often taking a brief, producing design and final printed product the same day.
I am as happy working to stringent corporate style guides as I am working with customers to create bespoke corporate identities and brands and develop them into cross-media campaigns including posters, leaflets, newspaper wraps, LCD screens, banners and social media images.

I offer first class interpersonal communication and exemplary customer service tailored to the client, which enables me to build and sustain positive and productive client relationships. Drawing on my experience, I am able to offer customer alternative solutions they may not have considered.

I am highly competent using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint and have good understanding of PlanetPress, variable data and transactional printing. I have lots of hands-on experience using Canon and Oce printers, including Imagepress, Varioprint, large format and CS series. I also have a keen interest in photography.
