About me

The nature of the courses of education which I have undertaken, combined with my working history in a number of skilled roles, has allowed me to work through varied design processes, these have necessitated a strong understanding of furniture/product design, from development to production.

Previous experience has given me a solid grasp of the professional workshop environment and my degree course has allowed me a deeper discernment of certain industrial manufacturing and design techniques.

I have had the opportunity to acquire a working knowledge of 3D Cobalt and AutoCAD which I use in design development and also in the production of components using CNC milling; laser Cutting and Rapid Prototyping procedures. These processes have widened my comprehension of CAD/CAM technologies through design conception to product completion.

I am an adaptable methodical individual who is able to work single-handed or as part of a team, and have experience working on a conceptual and productive level. I have worked with the public in professional environments (trade fairs, marketing products) and also in a more personal capacity, reconfiguring clients' homes. The furniture that I have produced has involved a wide selection of material exploration using varied production processes; I have used metal and timber frame construction, traditional and experimental upholstery techniques. I believe I can offer a quality service to an employer who requires a conscientious employee.
