About me

Between June 1999 and August 2007 I worked for Honeycomb Animation and worked my way up to the role of Technical Coordinator, in this role my duties include: - Animator, Creatoon Computer Animator, Creatoon Puppet Set Up (2D Cut Out), Flash Scene Setup, Animo Digital Ink & Paint Artist (1.7 & 4.1), Animo Colour Model Creation, Compositor Animo and After Effects (including Multiplane work), Preliminary Visual and Audio off line Editor, PhotoShop Promotional Art Work Creation, as well as the technical supervision and coordination of the digital side of all our projects. I also created a pilot with Honeycomb "Randolph: A Rhino for the 21st Century" which we took to Cartoon Forum 2005 where I presented the project to an International audience of broadcasters and financial partners.

In addition I have had lots of experience in training new staff members in the use of the computer programmes used within the company. I have also, with another coordinator, taken on the day to day running of the studio, which entails managing a staff of between 9 to15 animators, depending on the project in hand.

Work at Honeycomb has given me an understanding of the skills needed for running a studio and the personnel and equipment and using these in the most efficient way to get projects finished on time.

In May 2007 I worked for the University of Mid-Glamorgan as a guest lecturer where I taught students master classes in the Animo computer system.
