About me
Hello,
Please find attached my Curriculum Vitae.
I have recently graduated with a BA Hons in Fashion Promotion & Imaging from the University of the Creative Arts. As you will see from my CV, I have now completed two internships, one at Time Out and the other at The Future Laboratory.
I am now seeking a full-time position and wondered whether there might be any openings for someone with my experience at an entry-level in your organisation. I would like to draw your attention to some of the skills I can bring with me:
* A good natural sense of design and layout
* An understanding of the social and cultural function of fashion
* A passion for idea-based creative work and the creative arts
* A thirst for knowledge and new techniques
* Work experience in the creative industry
* A good knowledge of designers, artists and popular culture - I believe being aware of the 'zeitgeist' is incredibly important
* Technological skills including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. If left to my own devices I will easily complete any task given to me when using Adobe software
I am...
* Hard working, punctual and reliable
* Friendly
...and of course, I have experience in grunt work, apple-polishing and fetching coffee which I do with a smile.
Thank you for your consideration of my application. Please contact me should you require any further information.
Yours sincerely
Grace Straight
Skills
Having graduated in 2011, I’ve since been working hard, gaining valuable experience and developing my knowledge of the creative sector. I am currently working in a branding consultancy in Soho, whilst continuing to apply for my ideal job. Working initially as Office Manager then being promoted to Account Executive, Start JudgeGill has given me exposure to the management of projects and working on assignments from start to finish. This knowledge and experience has enhanced my capabilities as a designer and has given me a better understanding of working in an agency environment and the processes they employ., My keys strengths are layout design, working creatively but to strict deadlines and being a well liked member of any team. Having worked on a variety of assignments both commercially and personally (University) I have a diverse portfolio, but pride myself on being able to translate ideas into tangible and desirable end results.
