I came across the role on Creativepool.co.uk. I am very interested in this position and I would like to explore this further.
I earned my MA degree from Birmingham Institute Art and Design in 2011. I am currently working as a freelance designer in Birmingham, doing some projects from 99 design website and Elance. I'm mainly focused on icon design and mobile apps design. The work is highly required for balancing the time management and meeting client's criteria.
I gained rich skills in doing research and self-study. This is very important especially for the design industry which needs to be constantly updated to adapt to "fashion" trend. I gained the research skills through my four-year product design course which is problem-solving oriented and my graduation dissertation (about some concepts solutions for waste classification in Shanghai, China) was selected as the excellent thesis. Later I moved my focus from physical product design to digital product (UI/UX design) in my MA courses, and I have learnt a lot through the two-year experience.
I believe the knowledge and experience I have gained from both my MA and product design plus my freelance experience will be very valuable to the role.
