Good morning,

Please accept my application for the role of Freelance Writer for Creativepool. I have accumulated over three years of editorial experience, including over a year as the Editor of a successful b2b trade publication, so feel I could be a good match for this position.

In terms of relevant experience, I have written for publications including Cosmopolitan UK, Italian publication Colors and DualShow, a New York-based digital magazine, where I spent six months as Lifestyle Writer. I also spent three months working at the Shopping and Style desk of Time Out London, where I managed, wrote and edited the weekly 'Sample sales and shopping events' page. Examples of the work completed for Time Out can be found via my online portfolio.

However my main bulk of experience comes from my last job as Editor of the UK's leading digital publication for the flooring industry, Tomorrow's Flooring, within the Opus Business Media group. As Editor, I was responsible for researching, commissioning, writing and editing all submissions and contributions to the magazine, and also running and managing all social media accounts. During my time at the company, I was also sub-editor for sister publications Tomorrow's Cleaning, Tomorrow's FM and Tomorrow's Health & Safety, and I was also responsible for launching and editing a new publication, Tomorrow's Retail Floors.

I now work as a Business Development Executive at Search Laboratory, an international digital marketing agency based in Leeds, which has given me a strong foundation of SEO and PPC knowledge and skills in communication and relationship building. I enjoy my work in sales, but miss writing, so from Friday 3rd July will be working as a freelance writer full-time. I would ideally fulfill my duties for this role from home, in Leeds, although I am more than happy to travel for meetings and events where necessary.
