The IOC’s new campaign film uses “light” as a symbolic representation of Olympic values, and seeks to demonstrate how the inspirational achievements of athletes can motivate people around the world to act as beacons of positivity.
We were called upon by Publicis to help them win the campaign by creating the demo soundtrack for their pitch. They won, and their client liked our track so much that they asked if they could use it for the main film.
Our goal was to create an anthemic track, with a ‘no holds barred’ sense of optimism and triumph. Although the client chose our track early on in the process, we developed it substantially to enhance its cinematic qualities, adding extra layers of instrumentation to convey the excitement and concept of ‘light’ depicted so strongly throughout the campaign.
