About me

I am a Tanzanian creative producer, motion graphic designer, animator, illustrator, book designer, digital media and visual artist. I have received numerous commissions from NGOs and international projects to illustrate and design books, curriculum materials for children and schools, and magazines. I went on to take courses in multimedia and became involved in 2D and 3D animation, film production, and music videos. Toto's Journey (2005) was an award-winning animation commissioned by UNESCO about water scarcity. I was selected as part of the Tanzanian Film Production team for Tanzania's European Film Festival submission, Fasta Fasta! (2010). In 2009, I began working in television production as a motion graphic designer in a government run television station. This led to my study in multimedia where I gained an understanding of how digital media and technological innovation can innovate traditional television production work with live broadcasting using social media platforms. In 2013, I started an inaugural program of study in Multimedia and Film Technology study at the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and completed its higher education 3-Year Diploma in 2016. My Diploma Project created a 3D Virtual Reality Tour Guide for the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology and won me the Best Student of the Year Certificate (2016). Since then, I have continued at DIT in the Bachelor of Science Computer Engineering department. After my Multimedia Diploma, I was promoted into the Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation's new Online Social Media and Convergence department as Creative Producer. Here I was given the responsibility of producing the Safari Ya Dodoma series supporting the move of civil servants from the current capital of Tanzania to Dodoma. I am interested in media convergence research and multimedia studies.
