I have worked for the last year building a business within the pharmaceutical borderline substances arena. During this time I have worked alongside the NHS and Medicines Control Agency to pass initially 5 products for prescription status and a further 26 products for a Spanish company for the UK market.

I have developed accounting and budgetary systems and a full business plan for banking, of which has been accepted fully. I have developed partnerships within pharmaceutical wholesaling, NHS hospitals and society's linked with the ailment. The business is now working very well, however it has now been passed to the suppler in Spain together with an NHS contact within the UK.

I am now free to develop my career further and I am looking for a project, to not only develop business for a company, but to set strategies and plans for future business and developments.

Director of Business Development (Permanent)

As Director of Business Development in a newly created position, I undertook extensive research of current business plans and cliental to devise an innotive fresh business strategy plan to assist with the conquering of new previously undiscovered areas of growth.

My sales, marketing, and company development skills together with extensive communication experience, assisted me with the winning of much strategic new business and customer trust.

During my time at Polar Speed, company profit tripled. This was as a direct result of business development plans, procedures, and marketing strategy that I both single handily pioneered and delivered.

The negotiation and composition of intricate distribution and finance contracts are my sole responsibility.

I engineered and introduced debt factoring and collection. This was previously undiagnosed as essential criteria for customer development.

Due to the attainment of a successfully negotiated major contract, I directed the business in the development of a new site within the Midlands to manage the aforementioned. Subsequently, the development of the new site involved the recruitment of employees, purchasing of vehicles, and desired equipment.

Logistics and customer care, formerly directed by myself, was transferred to a co-director due to the expedited new business to ensure continuity of its success.

Polar Speed now operates at a 10 million per annum profit turn over business.

Business Development Manager (Permanent)

My role as Business Development Manger, the sole business development link between the three aforementioned independently operating companies, allowed for demonstration of diversity and the restructuring of many outdated services and business plans.

With a concise brief to grow and develop wilting business, I exercised previously aforementioned skills leading Farillon Pharmaceuticals Distribution Limited into a new dimension. Farillon Pharmaceutical Distribution Limited, as a direct result of business I attained, now operate a 168 million pound per annum profit turn over business, a staggering increase of 48%.

I re-structured and developed warehousing procedures, stock rotation, and managed the quarterly audits of PI counts as part of my daily routine.

I designed and implemented a new computerised accounting system for the sole management of NHS products and was successful in the annual re-negotiation of the 'evergreen' contract. I won this tender despite stiff competition from major pharmaceutical giants.

I was a formal board member. I attended board meetings at AAH, Lloyds Pharmacy, and Farillon Pharmaceuticals Distribution Limited ensuring continuity of communication between the aforementioned companies at director level.

I joined Healthcare Logistics during the period of a management buy out. My contribution to a once declining business was Novartis, the most prestigious and sought after pharmaceutical company.

As sole responsibility of ensuring the smooth operation of the aforementioned contract was mine, I initiated installation of both EDI and IT systems, recruited 53 warehouse staff, recruited 27 temporary Customer Service staff which formed the solitary Customer Service Department, and recruited a further 3 full time Customer Service staff post 'going live' of the aforementioned systems.

Due to the success of my warehouse operation, I was allocated management of the distribution warehouses (three in total). I thrived on the challenge, updated procedures, and recruited 3 warehouse managers whilst servicing the current customer base.

My final achievement as National Account Manager was to employ an overall Operations Manager.

National Business Development Manager

The immense success of my former role subsequently led to promotion. I accepted the position of National Business Development Manger.

My new post allowed for the much needed concentration on current customer development and the attainment of further new business.

To assist with further company growth I recruited and managed a sales team to cover UK and Wales in its entirety. I managed current customers and developed new business. Account management remained my responsibility.

Management of preferred carrier status between Boots, AAH, and Unichem was my sole responsibility.

Post accepting the position of Marketing Manger, I employed a Warehousing Assistant Manager and undertook further education regarding extensive professional sales and surgical training. I was responsible for all European company exhibitions, the design and structure of presentation stands, marketing literature, and the organisation of sales meeting in conjunction with regional sales managers.

I was responsible for the maintaining of various business budgets, management of both buyers and expediters who individually managed their own product areas, responsible for all shop floor contracts, and responsible for both machine tool and engineering products.

Hobbies and Interests:

I regularly attend my local gym for both the fitness and social aspect. I enjoy spending quality time relaxing with my family and walking the family dog. Listening to music and keeping abreast of industry news via pharmaceutical journals is my hobby. I am a fully fledged member of both the Warwickshire and London Lodge.
