About me

Glen Paul Mendes (The Urban Shaman): Mendes currently walks the city and countryside as a form of ritual research. He reads the lines on walls, roads, and tunnels as a language, a "hidden dialogue" a palimpsest of the place. His "walk" is an act of deep listening and observation. His spontaneous abstract black and white line drawings and evocative paintings, often made on-site, and are direct translations of Urban synergy somewhat neolithic, evoking pictographic symbols serving as the shamanic records of his passage.

I am always looking for more experience within the art sector specifically with groups of artists and as a fine art artist for galleries.
I have enjoyed working on many theatre projects as a scenic painter and designer and have had work shown in galleries at my home town Southend on sea, and in London whilst working P/T as an art technician with PAF art fair in Kensington.

I am currently build upon a body of artworks and prints.

I am experimenting using photomontage digital photographs and paint.

I love to express lines symbols and semiotics as a figurative abstract, research my Illustrative style is spontaneous and expressive, powerful and evocative.
I can provide Digital image files, Artwork Prints, Originals, Painted wall murals of my design and style.
