About me
Giordano Valenzuela Murúa, writer and director, was born on March 12th 1990, in Santiago, Chile.
Since he was a child, he has always excelled in literary creation, writing stories since he was 9 years old and being recognized both in his school and at the university.
His passion was to create and discover new worlds, new stories, feed through myths, novels, movies, and video games. Heroes, mysteries, different universes.
Growing up, and after passing through studies in aviation, he finds his way into the seventh art, studying Filmmaking in his hometown, later, Academic English and Scenic Communication in Los Angeles, USA, and finished with Film Direction in Prague, Czech Republic , where today resides being also an Italian citizen.
His passion is found in history, art and philosophy, is found in the contemplation of nature, its flora and fauna, the admiration of our living planet, and also of the human being, its interior, its essence, beliefs and destination.
In his works predominate existential themes, stories about memory and fear, and his style reveals tendences to surrealism and fantasy breaking into reality.
His work and experience has focused on writing literature and script, the direction of short and medium-length fiction films, corporate videos and film events.
Giordano assisted in the production of a feature film, participated in the creation of an online channel about videogames and modern culture for Latin America in his native country and worked as assistant director in a project of adaptation of the Metamorphosis of Franz Kafka in virtual reality, made in Czech Republic.
Today, Giordano is writing his first novel, making the pre-production of his next suspense and fiction film (references of The Twilight Zone, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and Franz Kafka), as well as works in corporate videos, events and commercials.
