About me

I have completed a BA (Hons) degree in Textile Crafts in 2004 and then went on to study an MA in Fashion and Textiles which I completed in 2005, speacialising in Felting. I have taken part in many textile teaching jobs, planned and run textile workshops within my local area of the North East, and exhibited all over the country with my textile work.

I am a keen individual with great communication and organising skills. I'm willing to work as part of a team or as an individual either teaching, lecturing or assisting within a creative, textile environment. I have many skills within the textile field including hand and machine embroidery, knitting, printing and weaving, but my specialist subject being felting.

I have just recently (July 2007), arrived back from travelling the world as part of my textile research and to inspire me for my new, personal work as a textile artist. I hope to use the inspiration from places I visited in further lines of work as a textile artist and pass this on to students within the teaching field.
