About me

BA (Hons) Furniture/product design graduate seeking employment within the design field. Committed, dedicated and enthusiastic, strives to achieve the highest standard possible in innovative and versatile work. I am a naturally good communicator coupled with excellent design skills which I want to put to use.

I have both the technical and freehand drawing skills that are required from having graduated from a design course. I was using packages such as Autocad,Photoshop and 3D Studio Max in generating 2D and 3D images. For each of the projects undertaken several orthographic drawings had to be submitted, drawn on computer or by hand. I believe my drawing skills to be my strongest ability.

Having excelled in art from a young age, I went on to pursue it to degree level.

I went to The Nottingham Trent University, where I graduated with a BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design, which I completed in 2004, including a year in industry. Whereby, I was in charge of the marketing and launching of 'Oak Cuisine' furniture at Berrydesign during my professional placement at University.

Following this, I travelled extensively in South East Asia, spending 6 months teaching English as a foreign language to classes of 45 Thai children at a time, attempting to encourge their enthusiasm by fostering a creative and stimulating environment.

As an ambitious person, I see myself now fulfulling my life-long dream of becoming a designer.
