About me
I am a Product Industrial & Systems Design Engineer currently working at a custom furniture construction company in the creative dept of the company designing custom furniture for professional spaces (ex. pharmacies, shops etc) or for individuals (kitchens etc), and also designing display stands for various goods from comsmetics to food.
For the past 2.5 years I was an industrial designer at edg designlab, a design consultancy in Athens - Greece, designing and developing various products for various companies (ex. terra - camping and beach equipment - lead company in Greece in this sector, Lanitis Bros - member of Coca Cola group, Athens International Airport).
I was responsible for creating, designing, conducting and co-ordinating all the research needed (benchmark, human factors - ergonomics), creating concept ideas that fit the brand essence of the client, design them - modelmaking CAD design and develop them as part of the designlab team and reporting directly to the design director. I was also able to give direct presentations to the client and taking feedback (account officer). In addition I was responsible for the manufacture of the products and for testing them either direct in the design consultancy or by travelling to the manufacturer 's facilities and check the production.
Due to my studies in Royal College of Art and my personal interest in Innovation and ergonomics, I was fully able to fullfil my tasks with great success, since all the developed products had commercial success apart from innovation and nowadays since my proffesional experience in various fields I consider myself more than able to find, explore and bring to life an innovative idea (from concept to final product) according to the client's needs.
The ideal job for me is to explore the client's needs (or the client brief) in and through research, innovative ideas and thinking out of the box approach, to deliver break-through products and/or services, that 's why I find your job-ad very interesting.
