I have successfully completed the Basic Proofreading by distance learning course set by The Publishing Training Centre, which is the recognised and respected training institution for the book and journal publishing industry. This course was recommended to me by a Managing Editor at Transworld Publishers as one of the very highest standard. I feel that I benefited from the practical advantages this high quality training offered and that my skill and judgement greatly improved.

I am a native speaker of English and possess an in-depth knowledge of grammar, syntax and sentence composition. I also have experience in proofreading and copy editing, having worked on biography, novels, short stories, psychological study and poetry, published variously in UK and USA.

I am a meticulous and methodical worker with a love of the English language and its literature, and have a keen eye for inconsistencies and infelicities, as well as punctuation, spelling and typographic design.
