About me

I am due to graduate from The University of Reading this term where I have been studying a BA(Hons) Degree in Typography and Graphic Communication.

I see a role as a junior designer an ideal opportunity to utilise much of the theoretical information gleaned during my studies along with the practical skills I have developed throughout my experiences gained from my art foundation course and degree.

There was a focus within the course on typography within both print and web design. In my second year I completed a year long typographic detailing module where I undertook an in-depth study into micro typography.

Throughout my degree and art foundation course I was tasked with both short-term tasks with a quick turn around, and longer-term projects including a 12,000 word dissertation. My chosen subject for the dissertation was a study into the differences between printed job adverts within the design and education sectors. This study looked into all aspects of advert design such as composition, typeface, colour, shape and size.

I have also researched, written, designed and built my own careers website for undergraduates within the Typography and Graphic Communication Department at The University of Reading. This website has now been adopted by the department as a resource for students.
