A passionate designer in social innovation with a flare for social entrepreneurship. Interested in working with and for people to create a happy and more sustainable future.

Placements:

shed - 3 month placement (March-June 2018)

Hallmark Cards - 2 week placement (May 2019)

I was awarded a placement through a strong performance during a university group project with Hallmark. Expanding on our project of updating Hallmark's Christmas packaging range with sustainability in mind, my group developed a plastic free shop front whilst working at their Bradford headquarters. From delivering exceptional work at the end of the first week, we were given the opportunity to work on a confidential Hallmark brief, with potential for manufacture.

Contract Experience:

Hodwell Associates - 2 week project (March 2019)

Unilever - 4 week project (April 2019)

I was contracted by Unilever through a manager from their Personal Care department. We tackled a brief based on the sustainability of their current products and 'Circular Futures'. Through this opportunity, I re-framed the role of packaging, explored ways to trigger new customer behaviours and worked from emerging trends around the circular economy. At the end of the four week project, I presented my findings to a panel of executives in Port Sunlight through Skype.

Extra-Curricular:

Enactus, A not for profit organisation connecting students, academics and business leaders globally; working collaboratively to create a better world for all through entrepreneurial action.

I lead and organised the Northumbria team starting up sustainable projects that create positive social, economical and environmental impact. Gaining skills in team dynamics, project management and future planning I reached the president position after just 2 years. Additionally, I regularly presented our teams success to business experts and in turn my team was awarded for our community impact by Northumbria University during both years of my presidency.
