About me

I have over 10 years experience of photographing hotels (2* to 5*), PR, events, corporate, commercial and travel destination photography all across Europe for a major UK leisure airline. This was to cover all content for all media channels covering both digital and print. I am quite adept at travelling long distances and covering very long days whilst on location.

I have trained a number of staff members over the years on how to photograph destinations, cities, hotels, villas and private residences using the latest digital camera equipment. These have included Nikon, Canon and Sony bodies along with the relevant lenses and flashes that are needed for all different types of photography. I have also made sure that the company principles and image expectations are followed throughout the process, ensuring that there is a company standard to be adhered to. This encompassed all editing, key-wording and metadata processes to make sure that all images were searchable using the DAM.

Over the past 7 years at the leisure airline I have created a style of imagery that stipulates to the customer a brand identity. The brand must reflect honesty, integrity and aspiration to want to visit each destination and hotel. This also had to be reflected in all other image types depending on the brands that it was photographed for. I believe that this is something that I can adapt and apply in any position or job.

Although I have been a photographer for the best part of my career at Jet2-dot-com my role had changed over the past couple of years to more of a production manager. In 2016, we started a project that had to cover 7500 points of interest across all of the companies destinations.

To achieve this, I had to manage 9 freelancers (based in the UK and overseas), 3 in house staff (editing/key-wording/archiving) and 2 in-house photographers. We had to acquire both stills and video for the whole project whilst ensuring that all travel/accommodation was sorted for everyone involved, for the duration of the project. Something of this size should have been a 2 year project. However, it was achieved in 10 months and £100k under budget.
